Nightscout Integration in Tracky Health Application
How to Connect Nightscout with MyTracky
Nightscout Integration guide in Tracky Health
MyTracky allows you to connect your Nightscout account to seamlessly sync and view your glucose data in one place. To enable this integration, you'll need two pieces of information from your Nightscout setup:
Your Nightscout URL
Your Nightscout API Secret
This guide will walk you through the complete setup process.
What is Nightscout?
Nightscout is an open-source platform that allows people using Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) devices to view, store, and share their glucose data in real time. If you already use Nightscout, you can connect it to MyTracky to make your glucose information available within the app.
Before You Begin
Please ensure that:
You have an active Nightscout instance (for example: https://yourname.herokuapp.com or https://nightscout.yourdomain.com)
You have access to your Nightscout administration settings.
You know or can generate your Nightscout API Secret.
Step 1: Find Your Nightscout URL
Your Nightscout URL is the web address you use to access your Nightscout dashboard.
Examples:
https://johnsmith.herokuapp.com
https://nightscout.example.com
https://mycgmdata.com
Important: Enter only the base URL. Do not include /api/v1 or any additional paths.
Correct:
https://nightscout.example.com
Incorrect:
https://nightscout.example.com/api/v1
https://nightscout.example.com/entries
Step 2: Locate Your API Secret
The API Secret is used to securely authenticate MyTracky with your Nightscout account.
If You Already Know Your API Secret
Simply copy it and keep it ready for the next step.
If You Need to Find or Generate It
Log in to your Nightscout hosting provider or server.
Locate the environment variable named API_SECRET.
Copy the value associated with API_SECRET.
Note: Depending on how Nightscout is hosted (Heroku, Railway, DigitalOcean, self-hosted, etc.), the steps to view environment variables may vary.
Security Tip
Never share your API Secret with anyone.
Treat it like a password.
If you believe it has been exposed, generate a new API Secret immediately.
Step 3: Open MyTracky
Open the Tracky Health application.
Navigate to:
